Ode to a Rebel

He talks I believe

Through his muse’s pain

Putting words together

Like dropplets of rain

Not quite sure sometimes

What he really means

I think that -just maybe

He likes this bequiling mystery

He is wild-completely free

Creating words of art for us to see!

Proverb for Today

PROVERBS : 17:8- A GIFT IS AS A PRECIOUS STONE IN THE EYES OF HIM THAT HATH IT: WHITHERSOEVER IT TURNETH, IT PROSPERETH. (KING JAMES VERSION)

The translation of ‘a precious stone’ is ‘a stone of grace’-

I love the way God writes! The Giver of the gifts we have ,such as grace and mercy, is the Greatest writer of all!-especially since He wrote the Book! Hope and pray everyone has a great day! Enjoy the gifts He has bestowed upon us today and smile but don’t forget to say Thank You!

To my followers

To everyone who follows my blog-Thank you so much for following my blog and liking my post-fivereflections I tried to comment on your haikus and Ice fishing but there were so many that I thought this might be a better way- I not only like them I am amazed by them-such beauty in the simplist of words-The first time I wrote a haiku was when I started back to college in 1999 at the ripe old age of 50. I thought I was too cool when I was 18 so my punishment for my arrogance was having to take college algebra at 50 when it wasn’t a required credit in 1967. I have since graduated with a 4.0 but I still need to finish this class for my double AA in art and General studies. Alas time has caught up with me and after a few mini-strokes the memory is a little wobbly-but if it is God’s will I will finish it someday in the future. Anyway back to the haiku-It was liberating to do this kind of poetry- I am a traditional old foggey and thought everything should be rhymes and etc. My first collage in art was a freeing experience also! Sorry I am talking to much just wanted to say I think your writing is fabulous as are all the other writers and photgraphers following my blog. I try to read all of the posts but this computer has a mind of its own and I have to individually go to each blog separate from the emails or I get about 5 blank pages and my computer locks up on me-so bear with me. I really enjoy everyones blogs and do so appreciate your likes and comments. Thank you everyone-you are all so good at this! My husband has one also his is cfreeheart@wordpress.com.  He has already self-published a book of poems called Freedom of Expression-check him out he is awesome! Again thank you!

I Feel Like a Flea

A few weeks ago I discovered blogging. I had asked God for a place where I could post my poems without feeling like I was irritating anyone much like a flea does on his host. I posted a few on fb and had some comments and a several more likes depending on what the subject matter was about. I truly do appreciate the bloggers on here who have commented, and liked, and followed my blog.  I know I have posted a lot but I am like a grandma showing off pictures of her grandbabies when it comes to my babies (poems). I am proud that God has given me this talent and I do not plan on losing it by not using it. On fb my family and friends often ignored or didn’t see the post because of phones or possibly they had unsubscribed since I had been posting quite a lot of Scriptures. People are so caught up in their own lives that there isn’t much time for others. I am the flea that they have to pay attention to even when they don’t want too. So if I am deleted or ignored then they can continue doing what they do and not have to stop and scratch. I have said all of this to say that I still have more poems that have been waiting for their host so if I over did it please forgive me I am just so excited to finally have a home for them.  I do hope you will go back and read them all not for the comments or likes but just so I can show off my babies. I am still quite new at this so if you have any advice I would welcome it immensely. I pray everyone has an awesome and blessed day.

Birth of a Song

Words came as shadows

Ideas not complete

Forming thoughts and echoes

Trying to compete

Winsome pictures, fire-lit sun

Moonbeams across my mind

Ever roaming moving on

Leaving star-bright images behind

Coming together now and then

Through the course of time

Caressing pages like whispering winds

Simple words that talk in rhyme.
