Within the tapestries of every human heart
Memories circle like floating ribbons in time
Each minute each second, all playing a part
Roaming like echoes through lonely old pines.
Marvelous were many, yet, tragic were some
All written in mysteries for God to unfold
Sad with the telling as loved ones went home
Mingling with time to the ribbons of old.
With cascades of wonder these memories tell all
About times of enchantment and falling in love
Trials and tribulations that now seem so small
Continue to vanish into the Light from above.
Life’s stories so precious remind the soul
That moment by moment, time claims her own
And ever so gentle, God’s hands knits us whole
Especially, when one ribbon has to go on alone.
