The Earth Sighs

Warm breezes of the day

Give in to the cool of the evening

Moving in cadence to the coming night

Drifting among the roses and moon-flowers

Light fades as stars gather round

Quietness serenades the moon with echoes

Peace descending on listening hearts

The Earth sighs it’s gratitude and delight

It has survived.
